Wiggle Room

Type of strategy: Closings and Wrap UpGroup ManagementProcessing

Learning styles: IN: Introversion and Intuition

Introverts require time to recharge, so giving the students a couple of minutes of "wiggle" or free time is a must.

After the students complete the required work, don't be afraid to allow them to pull out a book, a drawing, or anything else that lets them have some alone time to recharge their batteries.  This is essential for the introverted child who may become overwhelmed if they have too much group stimulation for too long a period of time.
