This strategy is for student's to learn vocabulary using visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning modalities. K-3
Have students fold a piece of paper into 8 sections. They will each need 2 different colored markers.
Give them the vocabulary word, they write the word in one color and in one box.
Use the other color to draw a picture of that vocabulary word in the same box as the word. Teacher does not specifiy the picture, it can be different for every student.
After everyone has finished the first word and picture, they look at the word, say the word three times while tapping under the word and then point to their brain and say "got it". For an extension they can practice their words with a partner using the same say/tap/"got it" strategy.
