Kinesthetic Symbols

This strategy is
particularly strong for engaging the bodily kinesthetic intelligence.

In Kinesthetic Symbols, students create and practice body symbols associated with the learning content.

Steps:   1. People create kinesthetic symbols for the content. (Note: To get the most out of Kinesthetic symbols the particiapnts must be using the large muscles of the body (standing at rather than sitting))   2. Participants practice the symbols.   Optional Step:   Symbols are used as response modes to answer questions by facilitator(s).   For example if students are learning about the three states of matter, they create and practice hand signals for liquid, gas, and solid.
