Intended Audience: StudentsTeachers

Use when you need to quickly assess the skills or knowledge levels of your audience members.

Directions: 

  1. Ask participants to position their chairs so they are directly facing the presenter (you).
  2. Direct participants to hold a closed fist up near their throats.
  3. Inform participants that you will be stating the topics covered during the workshop. Instruct them to hold up 1, 2, 3, or 4 fingers to best reflect their levels of expertise (1 – Little knowledge, 2 – Some knowledge, 3 – Lots of knowledge, 4 – I’m an expert).
