Intended Audience: StudentsTeachers

Use when you need to quickly assess the skills or knowledge levels of your audience members.

  1. Ask participants to position their chairs so they are directly facing the presenter (you).
  2. Direct participants to hold a closed fist up near their throats.
  3. Inform participants that you will be stating the topics covered during the workshop. Instruct them to hold up 1, 2, 3, or 4 fingers to best reflect their levels of expertise (1 – Little knowledge, 2 – Some knowledge, 3 – Lots of knowledge, 4 – I’m an expert).
