Meet the 6th grade Health Standards with the My Future- My Choice Program

Meet the Oregon Health Education Standards for the 6th grade, including Erin’s Law requirements by implementing the My Future-My Choice sexuality education curriculum, a program administered by the Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS). Curriculum, materials, and trainings are free!

What is My Future-My Choice (MFMC)? • A 10-lesson, comprehensive, medically accurate, age-appropriate sexuality education curriculum administered by a program team from DHS • Developed to meet the updated Oregon Health Education Standards and Erin’s Law for the 6th grade • Lessons are LGBTQ inclusive, trauma informed, and culturally sensitive • Half of the curriculum designed to be delivered by trained high school peer educators but can also be effectively delivered, in its entirety, by a teacher • Technical support- including strategies to meet your community’s specific implementation needs, provided by MFMC staff • Free trainings provided to teachers and peer educators by the OR Department of Human Services in partnership with the Oregon Department of Education o Substitute reimbursements provided to teachers attending trainings • Additional implementation funding may be available to schools delivering MFMC • Hard copies of curriculum and materials offered for free and available online.
