Free Computer Science Workshops for Oregon Teachers
Computer science opens doors of opportunity — every student can benefit from a foundational understanding of the creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving that goes behind the technology we use in our daily lives. Code.org and George Fox University are offering workshops at no cost to prepare existing teachers to become computer science teachers. Workshops last 6-8 hours and conclude with your own implementation plan to begin teaching computer science fundamentals. This program has shown tremendous success (and rave reviews by teachers) across the country. There are limited slots available, so teachers are encouraged to apply soon at no cost to your school (Grades 6-12, Grades K-5).
If you have any questions about applying or the workshop schedules, George Fox University is here to help.
