The Oregon Mathways Initiative promotes a common two-year core of mathematics for all high school students followed by multiple options, or pathways, that address individual needs and interests. Pathways are not dead-end less rigorous options but they are a substitute for the current predominant pathway that leads to calculus. Calculus Is the Peak of High School Math.
