Requesting Your Feedback on the Engagement Toolkit

The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) and is putting out a kind of “all-call” for feedback on initial guidance as presented in the Student Investment Account Engagement Toolkit. The Student Investment Account is a non-competitive grant program which, when fully implemented, represents an investment of close to $500 million going directly to Oregon school districts and eligible charter schools. The toolkit serves as initial guidance to support the process by which students, staff, and families of historically underserved or marginalized groups should be meaningfully and authentically engaged by districts to inform their needs assessment processes and their strategic planning efforts as required by the Student Success Act (House Bill 3427).

Would you please look through the toolkit and let us know how we did? We will review all feedback and comments received by September 13, 2019 and they will inform the final guidance and an updated version of this toolkit that ODE will produce in early October 2019.
