Hello! My name is Christina VanNice and I am an instructional coach in the Hermiston School District. This will be my first year on the Ed Tech Cadre. My teaching experience is as a special education teacher and a middle school language arts teacher. As a teacher, I found that I could make my job easier and also enhance the learning of my students through technology– a win-win.

Now as a coach, my goal is to support teachers in implementing technology with their students. Due to my background in special education, I also have a particular interest in assistive technology that can enhance learning for student with disabilities who might face challenges that a typical student does not.

Hello!

My name is Caitlin Ponzetti Binstock, and I am an Instructional Technology Coach in TTSD. I joined both TTSD and Cadre last year, after working as a classroom teacher in a K-8 school for 6 years. I look forward to working with other educators and building my network of relationships who help me to continue my own learning.

In my role, I am motivated by sharing ways to innovate and support student learning with other teachers. I love how technology allows students and teachers to feel empowered about learning, pushes everyone to grow and develop their practice, and keeps everyone thinking of ways to redefine the classroom. As a coach, I get to spend my days helping teachers thoughtfully and intentionally plan lessons and activities that engage and build relevancy for their students.

I firmly believe we are witnessing how education is changing, and I am excited to be a part of that movement. :)
