HEY NATURAL RESOURCE EDUCATORS!

LOOKING FOR A PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY THIS SUMMER, OR PERHAPS SOME GRADUATE CREDIT?

F2O: FOREST TO OCEAN EDUCATOR’S ACADEMY

F2O: FOREST TO OCEAN Educator’s Academy is a unique Summer Session program offered by Oregon State University. Immerse yourself in a week-long exploration of forest and marine environments, discovering how those environments can be used to teach others about Oregon’s abundant natural resources.

Explore the use of natural resources and outdoor landscapes as a means of teaching others about science, ecology, mathematics, social science, history, and the language arts. Through examination of forest ecology, oceanography, and related management issues, participants discover some interdisciplinary methods used to teach a range of subjects.

Join instructors Amy Hoffman (College of Education) and Dave Stemper (College of Forestry) in outdoor investigations that find you earning graduate credit or professional development units while journeying from Willamette Valley forest to coastal estuary & beach.

Dave, sure appreciate! Unfortunately our teachers weren’t actively using our group this summer, but if the opportunity arises again we’ll be sure to promote it…Regards, Jim P.
