Teacher turnover rates are a looming problem that puts stress and pressure on schools and districts. The rates grow when considering the number of special educators that leave the profession every year. Then add a national pandemic into the mix. In parallel, overwhelming evidence shows that teachers are ill prepared for teaching reading when they exit their pre-service programs and enter the workforce. This combination of staggering facts leads to the need to build a culture of reading by equipping educators with the knowledge and skills needed to address the most critical skill that underpins every aspect of education—reading!

This edWebinar will:
Illuminate why understanding the science behind reading instruction is critical for every educator in every classroom
Explain the nuanced factors that can lead to teacher dissatisfaction
Provide resources to help mitigate the factors that lead to teacher turnover when reading is concerned

This edWebinar will be of interest to preK-12 teachers and school and district leaders. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
