Sponsored in part by OHSU’s Office of Science Education Opportunities, the Moore Institute for Nutrition and Wellness, and the OHSU Brain Institute, the annual Teacher Workshop is a unique opportunity designed to give educators an insight into what role neuroscience plays in the classroom. This year we are honored to partner with the International Dyslexia Association - Oregon Branch to bring Joanna Christodoulou, EdD, to Portland. Dr. Christodoulou is Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, and Director of the Brain, Education, and Mind (BEAM) Lab in the Center for Health and Rehabilitation Research, at MGH Institute of Health Sciences, founded by Massachusetts General Hospital. She holds appointments at MIT as Research Affiliate and at the Harvard Graduate School of Eduction (HGSE) as Adjunct Lecturer. She integrates roles as clinician, developmental cognitive neuroscientist, and educator.
