I have been employed for the past 11.5 years as a Special Programs Instructional Assistant in Public Schools. As the first few years of my teaching experience were in Title I schools, much of my own personal focus in educational research in my undergraduate work was about students with social-economic and disadvantaged backgrounds. Meeting the needs of an ever-growing population of (LEP) Limited English Proficient Students and (ELL) English language learners also became a major thread throughout my learning. I completed two semesters of Structured English Immersion Methods in my Undergraduate studies.
